A strong financial base is further bolstered by legacy commitments from stakeholders. As the school ages, the number and strength of legacy commitments will deepen. Such commitments are essential to the long-term future of the school. Accordingly, the following tactic will be employed:
- Remain committed to the accumulation of reserves, the proper debt ratio, and overall Endowment and Planned Giving programs.
People are our greatest resource, and accordingly, we must continue to honor the long-term commitment of our staff. In today's world of reduced benefit packages, PCA will seek to expand our comprehensive benefits offered to faculty through endowments in the following areas:
- Compensation & Benefits
- Staff Training
- Master Level Chair & Department-Team Leader Chair
- Advanced Degrees
- Professional Research Sabbatical
- Key Staff Retention & Succession
PCA provides programs that support our assertion of offering a Kingdom education. Some of these programs are not typically offered at other schools, and therefore, serve as differentiators. Such programs are highly valued in our curriculum and be endowed. These programs include:
- Biblical Worldview & Servant Leadership
- Academics, Arts & Athletics
- Technology
- Missions
- Leadership
Adequate financial assistance is the key to honoring our commitment to accessibility. Even with such a commitment, PCA is not able to fully fund all assistance requests, and the annual funding requirement is growing. With this in mind, the following areas will be endowed:
- General Tuition Assistance
- Single Parents
- Hardship
- Under-privileged
The cost to construct and support a facility is rapidly rising. The opening of a new facility is exciting but places an additional financial burden on the annual operating budget through utilities, cleaning and repairs. It is critical to advance the master plan on a long-term basis, and accordingly, fund the operation of the facilities. The following tactics will be deployed to meet this need:
- Obtain grants and major donor gifts to build facilities
- Conduct future capital campaigns as required
- Establish endowment funds to subsidize the cost of facility operations
