Pat Walsh, PCA Grandparent

Pat Walsh, grandmother of Jacob Walsh (PCA '12), Sam Walsh (PCA '14), Michael Walsh (PCA '15) and Jonathan Walsh (PCA '16), has been a continual supporter of the Upper School Media Center and its role in the lives of students.  Mrs. Walsh views the Upper School Media Center as a direct investment in her grandchildren and other PCA students.

"I have found PCA's Upper School Media Center is a resource for academic learning and spiritual development.  A wealth of media materials are available for every student to excel in the classroom, and for individual study," says Mrs. Walsh.

Walsh's financial support of the Upper School Media Center reflects her belief in the school's mission and role in her life and the lives of her grandchildren.  She encourages prospective families to come and experience the PCA difference and community in their lives.

The Ellis Family

Johnson Ellis, father of Landen (PCA '09), Sheridan (PCA '12) and Graham (PCA '14), grew up the child of a missionary living in exotic areas around the world, including Brazil.  As a small child, Johnson and his family would visit the Amazon Region, ministering to the peoples of the region.  Johnson uses his first-hand knowledge of the Amazon Region and his fluency of speaking Portuguese to help lead the Minimester mission experience to the Amazon each year.  This year, Johnson will be traveling to the Amazon with two of his children, Sheridan and Graham, and 28 other PCA students and faculty.  The Amazon mission departs on Saturday, March 5, and returns on Sunday, March 13.

A difference factor at the Academy is our World Impact program and missions focus, which sends hundreds of students annually into the world to areas such as the Amazon, Cuba, Honduras and Sudan to help spread God’s love and salvation. The cost of these mission experiences are 100 percent funded by the student and their families, and the need for scholarships increases each year. One in ten students require full scholarships to participate in these missions; one in five require partial assistance.  Funds are needed to ensure these mission experiences remain a valid option for all students attending the Academy, regardless of their socio-economic status.

World Impact Missions is an initiative within the Supporting our Students priority of the PCA Initiatives.
