Biblical Worldview Training and Curriculum

CHALLENGE

The Academy’s strategic focus on integrating a biblical worldview into our core curriculum requires funding over and above what is available within the operating budget. This strategic focus is an integral part of the overall culture of the Academy and requires a long-range strategy to ensure its survival throughout future generations. In addition, costs for our Biblical Worldview Institute, which is held each fall to provide expanded biblical worldview training to our faculty and students, has continued to escalate.

FACTS

  • PCA is only one of a short list of Christian academies nationwide to integrate a biblical worldview into its entire curriculum strand
  • The Biblical Worldview Institute annually attracts over 2,000 faculty and students throughout the community; in addition, the main debate is broadcast worldwide, attracting viewers in dozens of countries
  • Annual costs of the Biblical Worldview Institute exceeds $50,000

SOLUTION

Create and fund an endowment whose proceeds could be used to fund this strategic focus indefinitely. While long-term, a $3 million endowment would be needed to fund this focus; the goal of the PCA Initiatives is to fund $1 million of the endowment. Additionally, to meet immediate needs while the endowment is being funded, annual support in the amount of $50,000 over five years is needed.
